Fresh Thyme, Fragrant, Freshly Cut and Grown in Hampshire
Ā£1.60 (per 40g)
Breathe in a bunch of freshly cut thyme and you will understand why it has been in kitchens for thousands of years, grown with care at our market garden on the Lockerley Estate in East Tytherley.
Each bunch is hand cut and packed the same week, ready to be tucked under a roast chicken, stripped into roast potatoes, thrown whole into a slow cooked stew, or steeped into honey, butter and vinegar. A few sprigs go a long way, and the woody stems are made for pulling out at the end.
Grown in Hampshire soils and packed straight from the garden. Stand the stems in a little water or wrap them in a damp cloth in the fridge, and what you don't use will dry beautifully hanging in the kitchen for winter.
